THE ECONOMIC COUNCIL OF INDIANTOWN TO DELIVER
FOCUSED GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT IN RURAL FLORIDA COMMUNITY
(Indiantown, FL/September 11, 2025) – The Economic Council of Indiantown (ECI) is launching today in the rural community located in Martin County. The mission of the newly founded organization is to build a brighter future through partnership, community and focused growth.
In recent years, the Village of Indiantown has seen significant growth, especially with more brick-and-mortar businesses opening. In addition, thousands of new residents are expected to move here with construction of affordable housing underway. To preserve the beauty and charm of this rural community, Village leaders recognized an urgent need to develop a long-term plan.
“As a business owner, I am encouraged by the exciting transformation taking place in our small community,” said Danielle Williamson, the owner of The Fresh Stop and Chairwoman for the Economic Council of Indiantown. “However, we want to ensure that we maintain the beauty and charm of Indiantown with measured growth and development and that is why the Economic Council of Indiantown has been formed.”
A knowledgeable and diverse team of forward thinkers is already working to produce a long-term plan through collaborative partnerships, innovative strategies and a commitment to community-driven development. The Economic Council of Indiantown (ECI) aims to create a vibrant and resilient local economy by supporting small businesses, attracting divergent investments and leveraging unique regional assets.
“The ECI will focus on fostering collaboration among community stakeholders, leveraging regional resources and inspiring sustainable practices that ensure a prosperous and inclusive future for all residents in the village,” said ECI Board member Kevin Powers “We want to empower Indiantown by promoting development initiatives that enhance quality of life, drive job creation and support local businesses.”
Currently, opportunities have been identified within the healthcare and education industries. ECI is also looking to expand its athletic facilities, further develop local leaders and expand employment opportunities.
The Economic Council of Indiantown intends to build an economic future rooted in partnership, innovation, and sustainability. Visit www.economiccouncilindiantown.org to learn more.
